By Friday March 21st, 2025 admission decisions for UCLA’s class of 2029 were released on the UCLA portal. UCLA is proud to welcome their newest Bruins for the Fall 2025 quarter. Amidst the excitement of admission, prospective freshmen students and their families are beginning to tour the campus, as well as attend functions like the annual Bruin Day.
Bruin Day is an annual event for admitted UCLA students and their families, in which those interested in attending the university will have the ability to take part in multiple events around the campus. This year, Bruin Day for first-years is scheduled for Saturday April 12th and will begin with a University Welcome in Pauley Pavillion. Those interested will get the chance to hear Chancellor Julio Frenk speak, as well as watch multiple performances by the UCLA Marching Band, The Solid Gold Sound, and other groups including the UCLA Spirit Squad and Bruin Harmony.
Following the University Welcome, there will be various tours and events, in which families are encouraged to attend the presentations that best align with their student’s field of interest. Not only will students and their families have the opportunity to engage in presentations regarding academic fields of interest, but they will also have the privilege of hearing about other aspects of campus life. These presentations include information about Greek life, student organizations, student resource centers, and much more. Families will also have the opportunity to tour housing, fitness centers, and libraries.
Additionally, UCLA will be hosting Bruin Day for prospective transfer students on Saturday May 10th, as well. However, transfer student admission letters have not been released yet and will not be released until the later half of April.
While many families await Bruin Day to tour the campus, many families have already begun to take tours around UCLA, getting a glimpse into their students’ future lives as Bruins. UCLA is excited to welcome both first-year students and transfer students to The University of California Los Angeles.
