After President Trump shut down USAID on Monday, Democrats protested by attempting to enter the Department of Education building in Washington, D.C.

Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California and other Democrats confronted a security guard blocking the entrance of the building. Waters was consistently telling the security guard to look at the camera so “viewers” could see his face.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is headed up by Elon Musk, recently found tremendous government spending waste. Recently, some things that DOGE found was that USAID spent $1.5 million for LGBT inclusion in Serbia and $6 million for tourism protection in Egypt.

Exposing government waste benefits the American people and sheds light on the federal government’s disregard for taxpayers. Reducing government spending, especially cutting unnecessary costs, will help everyday citizens.

Democrats are claiming that billionaire Elon Musk is the “shadow president” and that he has too much power within the federal government. However, it is important to note that Musk has direct approval from President Trump and is working under his authority.

Recently, the president, in a pre-game Super Bowl interview with Fox News, expressed his confidence in Elon Musk. He also stated, “I’m going to tell him very soon - like maybe in 24 hours -  to go check the Department of Education.”

Democrats believe that President Trump and Musk will cross paths eventually, but so far, their collaboration has only intensified.
